The Ecomuseum in Foz do Iguaçu is part of the Tourist Complex of Itaipu, as well as the Bela Vista Biological Refuge. Renovated in 2002, it aims to show tourists the history of Itaipu Binacional construction.
The museum is the union of representation between the environment and the boldness of man, resulted in the largest hydroelectric plant in the world. You can learn from the old and donated by locals objects, as well as interact with the electronic resources available within the site. It also has archaeological samples of prehistoric peoples, environmental preservation projects and permanent exhibitions of artists.
It's a great tour to do as a family, especially for those not exempt a good history lesson!
A stroll through the history of Itaipu, Foz do Iguaçu and the entire region of the plant's reservoir.
